Easter with New Life
Easter is an annual rhythm at New Life Church, and I was given an open-ended brief to begin developing ideas for the 2026 campaign. The goal was to create an engaging visual campaign that would promote Easter services to both the existing church community and those who don't currently attend.
Deliverables:
Digital, Print, Photography
My Role:
Creative Direction, Art Direction, Photography, Graphic Design
Scope:
3 Campuses, Multi-week Campaign
The Concept
Have You Heard the Good News?
Inspired by a small newspaper graphic I had seen, I began exploring the idea of treating the Easter message like the headline for a newspaper. The concept evolved into “Have You Heard the Good News?” a visual built around a newspaper announcing the empty grave.
The Photography
The Photography Became the Campaign
I wanted the photography to feel joyful and editorial. I styled a simple tabletop scene with vibrant flowers and a custom newspaper, then used film grain and motion blur to give the images a vintage, film feeling.
The Application
The Design Come To Life
The photography changed across applications, but the newspaper, flowers, typography, and Easter with New Life branding remained consistent, allowing the campaign to feel cohesive across every format.
The Result
An Idea From Sketch to Reality
The campaign received strong positive feedback from leadership and the wider church community and successfully created the sense of joy I wanted people to feel when encountering it.
This project was especially meaningful to me because it was an opportunity to develop a creative concept independently and carry it from the initial idea through art direction, photography, and campaign execution.
